Hello! Happy New Month to you! Let’s talk blue today.
Well, besides how masculine the color blue is considered to be, it is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, intelligence, faith and truth. Reading this even makes me wonder why we call that Monday feeling “Monday Blues”. It is said to slow down metabolism(blue), bringing a feeling of tranquility and produces a calming effect. One thing for sure- it is the color you want to be wearing on every other Monday.
That said, when it comes to clothes, blue is as versatile as they come. You can easily pair it with so many colors- black, grey, brown, green and so many others that will take forever to point out. But this is in fact why you should invest in more blue as far as your closet is concerned.
Whether it is a pair of blue pants, or a blue shirt,or just a navy suit- it is a color every guy should have in his wardrobe. It doesn’t scream for attention so it is something that you will be able to wear over and over again unnoticed without raising any eyebrows.
However, as much as it is a good thing, It can quickly get monotonous and boring. As too much of a good thing can be obnoxious. To spice it up once in a while, use some color when wearing blue as a main color. A tie with a funky pattern or a pocket square with brightly colored detail are a sure way to take things to the next level.
Footwear is also a great way to make things interesting- a pair of tassels can be your go to if you want to make a statement.
If blue isn’t your thing, you could opt for subtle details to bring in that blue hue without being obtrusive in any way, say a striped oxford shirt or just a blue pocket square are a sure way to wean your way into wearing this color with confidence.
And yes, everything in this outfit is thrifted. You can look good even on a budget! Be sure to let me know what you think about this look in the comments section below! Thanks for stopping by!
